Here is what Jenna has to say about her beautiful new filly Escada;
Hi,
Just wanted to let you know Escada's very happy in her new home.
Friends who visited Sunday evening couldn't believe she had only
just arrived. It seems like she takes every new experience totally
in stride. We all (horse and human alike!) absolutely adore her.
She makes me smile every time I look at her. We're also thrilled
with how well she leads, lifts her feet, etc. - you obviously worked
with her a lot!
Anyway, I've tried to include some pictures of her first couple
of days here. She and my mare Zoe really hit it off - I've never
seen Zoe get that attached, that quickly, to another horse. I think
she loves Escada almost as much as I do! Escada's turned out now
with the yearling filly who arrived a few days ago, but I haven't
gotten those photos developed yet. It seems like Escada's the boss,
even though the other filly's a little older and bigger, she seems
to look up to Escada for direction.
Escada, by Escudo I / Genever, is a stunning filly with phenomenal
beauty in type and movements.
This is a very special filly, modern and elegant in every way, with
tons of athleticism.
Escudo I is a well-muscled, expressive stallion of
ideal type. He was Champion of the 1994 Stallion Performance Test
with excellent scores in all categories. He won the jumping section,
and went on to become Hanoverian Showjumping Champion 5 year old
in 1996, and German National Reserve Champion 5 year old Jumper.
Gina
is a beautiful 16H grey Hanoverian mare by Genever, out of a Pik
Koenig dam. Genever is a direct son of the immortal Gotthard, and
is thought by many to be the best son of Gotthard. Gina is a beautiful
mare of modern type, with lovely expressive gaits and a wonderful
temperment. Gina has always given us exceptional foals, not the
least of which is our young stallion, Dr.
Pepper, by Drosselklang II.
