Dressage horses for sale  >  2005 Hanoverian foals  > Londonderry Colt 2005

Leopold means "darling one" and it couldn't be more true. Sired by one of the new superstars in the dressage breeding world Londonderry, adding the Thoroughbred influence to his over all type. A beautiful colt tall and elegant who should finish around 16.3 - 17H. He is a beautiful dark bay " Black " colt with 3 very good gaits, very quite and brave this colt gets better by the day. Leo will make a very good dressage horse or hunter prospect, and by the looks of his jump could be quite sucessful in the jumper ring.

The dam of Leopold is Gioia with her exceptional gaits and conformation she was Show Champion Mare at the Berleger show in Germany three years in a row. Gioia also in 2002 gave us a top stallion prospect by Sunny Boy, ( see Sambuca) and a gorgeous black colt( see Sting ) by the sensational stallion Sandro Hit.

State stud sire Londonderry leads the way with his first group of offspring that were evaluated. Overall he has high values for passing on all dressage attributes, but especially for producing type (score 160).
In the integral breed value estimation of the German Equestrian Federation he ranked even higher.

Londonderry is an incredibly beautiful 16H 2" chestnut son of Lauries Crusador, known in Germany for producing excellent dressage horses of wonderful type and outstanding dispositions. Londonderry was Champion of the 1997 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing. In 1999 Londonderry was named Champion Young Hanoverian Stallion, and Federal Champion Four-Year Old Stallion Riding horse. His foals inherit his wonderful type, movements and willing temperaments.
