West Montana, our beautiful States Premium mare, is in foal to
the sensational stallion "Don Primero" Montana passed
her mare performance test scoring all 8's, an impressive achievement
for any horse. After producing the Champion colt at the Hanoverian
Verband inspection in 2005
Don Primero has inherited his sire, Donnerhalls' talented and stream
lined movement. Don Primero has won 10 advanced dressage tests as
well as some Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special tests.
In 1990, Don Primero won the German Dressage Horse Championships
in Verden. More and more he follows in the footsteps of his sire
and grandsire. To date Don Primero has sired, high-class crops with
many premium foals. Several of his offspring were sold through the
elite auctions in Vechta. Don Primero is a descendant of 3 top dressage
stallions in Donnerhall,Unkenruf and Pik Bube. Donnerhall's most
successful offspring, Don Primero, has now been sold to Sweden.
Born in 1985 on the breeding farm of Gronwoldshof, Don Primero descends
from the first crop of foals by Donnerhall and is considered to
be an excellent example of the highly talented breeding combination
Donnerhall x Pik Bube I. Closely following his sire's foot steps
Don Primero transformed himself into a top quality dressage star.
In 1990 the five year old Don Primero won the German federal championships
for Dressage Horses under Heiko Munzmaier. German Olympic Team rider
Karin Rehbein quickly took over the reins and trained this black
star up to Grand Prix level. In 1998 and 1999 Don Primero appeared
on the scene under Falk Rosenbauer. Three of his male descendants
already received a breeding licence: the 1999 Bundeschampion Don
Larino, Don Duriello and Don Bravio.
