Another super Dr Pepper foal arrived a little late but worth the
wait, a bay colt with a nice big star and stripe and 2 white back
socks. This colt has fantastic looks and type. This bloodline goes
back twice to our favorite Hanoverian jumper producer Don Carlos
who's 3 sons Don Juan, Drosselklang II and Dynamo are still noted
for producing jumpers with international scope. Both Drosselklang
II and Don Juan have been awarded the Hanoverian Stallion of the
year award which is awarded to stallions that have successfully
contributed to the future of Hanoverian breeding, no small feat
for any stallion especially in the Hanoverian breed. He is also
bred 2 X in his pedigree to the legendry Gothhard
Doc is maturing into exactly what we like to see in our young horses.
Very nice type with excellent gaits. This young colt has a very
good canter that will improve with age and a trot that would put
most horses to shame. Super powerful Doc will make an excellent
Dressage or Hunter prospect. We will leave the Jumping for now and
test him in the fall when he's a full 2 yrs old, but if he is like
is brother Leopold
he will be just fine. Time will tell.
