In Foal to Providence for 2010
Stakkato selected Hanoverian stallion of the year 2007
Champion Performance test winner Stakata does an excellent job at her performance test and is awarded her EMC and is accepted into the HJP. Although she end up a little smaller than we were hoping for her jumping ability is exactly what we expected. 2 x 9 in her performance test.
Once again Stakkato is Germany’s highest valued jumping horse
producer. He has the highest breed values in both breed value estimations,
the German Equestrian Federation as well as the Hanoverian. The
show successes of the offspring still do not have a high impact
on the values at all. We only hope that the high expectations in
this son of Spartan will come true in the show ring. It is interesting
that Stakkato’s dressage breeding value is also classified
slightly above average. The breeding values do show that he does
not produce the type that we are looking for, and therefore he needs
to be bred to elegant mares.
A Jungle Prince was the winner of the 1993 Bundeschampionat (the
German National Championships) as a six year old under rider Thomas
Schmitz. He was first petitioned in sport by rider Susan Draper
of Hengststation Pape after standing at stud for four years at Hengststation
Pape in Hemmoor, Germany. A Jungle Prince is the sire of Avantgarde,
the 1998 Ic Premium awarded stallion in Oldenburg as well as Audrey,
the Hanoverian Three and Over Champion, Mare Champion, Mature Horse
Reserve Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Overall at Dressage
at Devon in 2003.
Argentinus, A Jungle Prince’s sire, was the leader in his
age group on the FN list of sires for offspring earning prize money
in sport. This outstanding producer of both dressage and showjumping
horses was the first millionaire stallion in Germany based on the
earnings of his progeny. Argentinus has produced well over twenty
approved sons and upwards of 50 States Premium mares. Famous offspring
of this stallion include: Albano, an Oldenburg who under rider Heike
Kemmer, was a 2001 team gold winner at the European Championships;
Amaretto, the late two time German dressage Champion and winner
of 34 first places in Grand Prix under Isabell Werth; and Autogramm,
a ten time National Cup participant under Thomas Muhlbauer.
Landadel was one of the most popular and successful stallions of
his generation who sadly died at a young age in 1996. Hardly a second
sire deserves the label "foundation sire" as much as he
does. His uniform transmission of type, nobility, color, movement
and predisposition for jumping is second to none. He produced multiple
licensing champion stallions, SPS mares, grand prix offspring and
his presence is strongly noticed in the recent Federal and European
championships. Landadel is 5th in the Hanoverian index with offspring
over $30.000 earnings even though he is a Holsteiner.
